This information about the cyber crook that floating around with fake information as well as taking advantage of swine flu outbreak selling the drug on internet. FTS would like to share this with all the reader to understand or avoid any scam over the internet evils , from Yahoo's news..

SAN FRANCISCO (AFP) - - Cyber crooks are capitalizing on influenza fears with torrents of email promising "swine flu" news but delivering malware or dubious offers for potency drugs or penis enlargement.
An alert posted late Thursday at the US Food and Drug Administration also warns that scammers have launched websites hawking bogus products "that claim to prevent, treat, or cure" the H1N1 flu virus.
The FDA said it is "informing offending websites that they must take prompt action to correct and/or remove promotions of these fraudulent products or face immediate enforcement action."
"Zombie" computers infected with a dreaded Conficker virus that became an online scourge this year are among machines being used to spew flu spam crafted to trick email recipients, according to computer security firm Trend Micro.
"The thing making it worse is the misinformation out there about swine flu," Trend Micro threats research manager Jamz Yaneza said Thursday.
"These guys have picked up on all the fears people have. With all the hysteria of swine flu, some people click on these emails."

Google AdSense Case Study-Science daily.Com

Major scientific breakthroughs from universities and research institutions used to be well-kept secrets, known only to top scientific journals. That is, until 1995, when Dan Hogan launched ScienceDaily magazine (www.sciencedaily.com). Soon after Hogan began publishing daily news headlines and stories on topics such as science and technology, health, and the environment, he was inundated with requests from PR staffs at research organizations. They wanted to share their scientists' discoveries with the general public by posting press releases and news articles. Right from the start, Hogan's daily science news site was a hit.

Challenge

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Google provided great suggestions for ad format and placement, helping us optimize our results."

Dan Hogan
Owner
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To leverage his success in publishing, Hogan began searching for ways to garner advertising revenue. He tried a variety of online advertising networks but came away disappointed. "We tried other ad networks, but the ads weren't very targeted, so earnings were low," says Hogan.

This unsatisfying outcome led Hogan to explore contextual advertising in depth. He heard about Google AdSense on forums and Internet news sites and was interested because its sophisticated contextual matching seemed ideal for ScienceDaily.com, a content-rich site.

Hogan tried Google AdSense for content, filtering ads for suitability based on reader feedback. A large segment of readers are young high school students preparing reports for science class, but other visitors vary. AdSense gives Hogan a high level of content control to ensure that ads are scientific and tasteful to appeal to a mix of readers.

Google Adsense - Source of Revenue at no Cost

Google AdSense is easy to install on a web page or blog and constitutes additional source of income without spending anything. You have to apply on-line for Google AdSense Program and generally approval comes from Google within two days. Those having AdWord account can use AdWord e-mail address and password for AdSense account also. After acceptance of application, Google confirms creation of your Adsense account thru e-mail. You get a code for AdSense text ads and another code for AdSense search. These codes are to be installed on web page or blog and within minutes the page will start displaying ads from Google, and a Google search bar. AdSense is available in dozen languages worldwide. The code for AdSense can be placed on any of your web pages. I think placing it on your blog will give you distinct advantage because blogs have several points in their favor. They are easily indexed by search engines. Recently two of my simple blogs were indexed by Google within 2-3 days of submission of URL's which I think is quite fast. With Yahoo! it is even easier - just add the URL of your blog to your My Yahoo page and Yahoo! will start accessing it immediately. GoogleAlert is a free tool that can be used to know when your blog is indexed by Google. You can have your blog up and running in minutes free of cost from several sites that provide this service. I personally use blogger.com. With blogs you do not need to worry about designing websites, registering domain name or hiring web site hosting service. You simply write your content on the blog and it is ready for publication.

Ad Slot: This is the most granular inventory component, and represents the location of an ad. It's the equivalent of an ad unit in AdSense. For instance, you can set up an ad slot for the top banner on your pages.
Placement: This is a publisher-defined collection of ad slots, and represents inventory to be sold. In AdSense, this is the equivalent of an ad placement . You should include at least one ad slot per placement, as campaigns are all linked to a placement. For instance, you can create a placement for all of your ad slots on your sports pages, or the top banners on all pages of your site.

How can I make my blog load faster? - Blogger Help

How can I make my blog load faster? - Blogger Help
How can I make my blog load faster?
The speed at which your blog loads is critical to attracting more readers to your blog. If your blog takes a long time to load, many readers may leave your blog before they have the chance to read it. Here are a few tips and tricks that will help your blog load faster and attract more users:
Posts
Your blog's load time can be affected by the number of posts you display on your main page. You can easily edit the number of posts displayed of the main page from the Settings Formatting tab. You can then select the number of posts you want to display on the main page. We recommend displaying 10 or fewer posts on the main page.
Third Party JavaScript and Links
For optimal blog load speed, we recommend using Google/Blogger widgets, JavaScipt and links. However, if you need to use third party JavaScipt and links, your blog will load much faster if you put all JavaScript at the bottom of your blog. If you have third party JavaScript and links in your sidebar, put them in at the bottom of the sidebar.
Images and Media
The more images, videos and other multi-media you have on your blog the longer it will take to load. However, images and other multimedia are important to attracting users to your blog, so it is important to optimize the load speed of your images and media. Here are a few tips to increase the load speed of your media:
Decrease the size of your images or use thumbnails that link to the full-size image.
If you use third party images, consider uploading them to Picasa Web Albums via the Blogger post editor.
If you have a large number of images to display, you can upload all your images (from a vacation or event) to a Picasa Web Album and link to the album in your post or sidebar.

Google Code Blog: New! Caption files for Google Developer Videos

Google Code Blog: New! Caption files for Google Developer Videos

Last year, YouTube launched a Captions and Subtitles feature. In addition to launching a new playlist for captioned Developer Videos, we're also kicking off an Open Source project to host caption files that anyone can reuse under the terms of the Creative Commons 3.0 BY license. We're hoping that developers will come up with interesting uses for caption data, once it's in the public domain. You can use transcripts as a corpus for training speech-to-text algorithms or testing applications that read and write caption files. Or, combine timepoint data with YouTube's URL support to jump to a specific point in a video.Caption tracks make YouTube videos accessible to a wider audience. For example, try a search on [RESTful protocol YouTube] and you'll find search results from the captions on Joe Gregorio's recent talk. While we're delighted that Kevin Marks' captioned English accent can be more easily understood by Americans, we've also translated the caption files and provided tracks in multiple languages for a few of our captioned videos. For all other videos, YouTube can perform Auto-Translate on caption text using Google Translate technology.

Yahoo! News - Can all that Twitters turn to gold amid the gloom? by AP: Yahoo! Tech

Can all that Twitters turn to gold amid the gloom? by AP: Yahoo! Tech:
"SAN FRANCISCO - Twitter Inc. has spawned a new way to communicate by limiting messages to 140 keystrokes. So here's a way to describe the Internet's latest craze within Twitter's space restrictions:
It's a potluck of pithy self-expression simmering with whimsy, narcissism, voyeurism, hucksterism, tedium and sometimes useful information.
One vital ingredient has been missing from the mix so far — revenue. That raises questions about whether the nearly 3-year-old service can make the leap from intriguing fad to sustainable business.
Twitter intends to start testing ways to make money this spring. And co-founder Evan Williams promises it won't drive away the more than 6 million people who have set up accounts on the unconventional communications network.
'We don't see any reason why this can't be a very large and profitable entity,' said Williams, the San Francisco-based company's chief executive. 'We have enough traffic on our Web site that we could put ads on there and maybe we could make enough to pay our bills, but that's not the most interesting thing we can do.'"

Williams, 36, won't say what he has in mind besides selling ads, but he and the handful of other people who own privately held Twitter seem confident the mystery strategy will pay off — even as a devastating recession destroys much-larger companies.
Just three months ago, Twitter rejected a $500 million takeover offer from an even bigger phenomenon, Facebook Inc., the owner of the world's largest online hangout.

How to Make Money With Google AdSense

The only costs you should incur in the beginning is your web hosting and domain name. The costs range from site to site but you can get a domain between $7 and $15/yr and hosting is usually between $3 and $10/month. You can create a website at any age, but obviously you need access to a credit card to purchase the domain name and hosting. Although, some affiliate programs like Google AdSense have age requirements (18 I believe)
